How to use the Foam Heroes Minigun foam cannon: the complete guide

How to use the Foam Heroes Minigun foam cannon: the complete guide

Thick snow foam starts with a properly set up foam cannon, not with the soap. Foam Heroes Minigun is built for even product coverage, precise chemical flow control and steady performance with pressure washers.

These instructions cover the FHT052, FHT053 and FHT054 models. The only difference is the connection adapter — the build and the way they work are identical.

Three models — one Minigun

The lineup has three versions, each made for its own type of pressure washer.

  • FHT052 — Quick Connect 1/4
  • FHT053 — Karcher K
  • FHT054 — KEW / Nilfisk

Pick your model by adapter type — everything else is the same.

What's included

Check the contents before your first use.
  • minigun with a brass head
  • 1 L (33.8 fl oz) bottle
  • pickup tube with filter
  • 1.25 nozzle (installed)
  • 1.1 replacement nozzle
  • 1.35 replacement nozzle
  • extra three-layer foam filter
  • service wrench

How the foam cannon is built

Minigun lets you adjust soap flow and spray pattern independently.

Main parts:

  • product flow dial
  • spray-angle dial
  • copper-zinc head
  • three-layer foam filter
  • pickup tube with ball end
  • HDPE bottle
Inside the head, water, air and soap mix together to create thick snow foam.

Step 1. Mix your solution

Use the concentration listed on the Foam Heroes soap label.

Fill the bottle with the amount of soap you need, top it off with water to the right volume and screw the cap on. A light shake is enough — the mix will finish blending as you work.

Step 2. Hook up the Minigun

Connect the foam cannon to your pressure washer gun until the adapter locks in fully.

Before you start, make sure that:

  • the bottle is screwed on tight
  • the pickup tube sits freely in the solution
  • the adapter is fully locked in

Now you can fire up the pressure washer

Step 3. Dial in the perfect foam

The Minigun has two dials that work independently of each other.

Product flow dial

The top knob controls how much soap goes into the mix. The more you open it, the richer the foam and the higher the product use.

Spray-angle dial

The front section changes the spray width. A wide fan works for covering the whole car, while a narrow stream is handy for spot work on wheels, rockers and other tight areas.

Why this matters

Most people try to thicken the foam by opening the product flow all the way. In practice, pick the right nozzle first, then adjust the soap flow.

How to pick the nozzle

Three swappable nozzles are included, sized for pressure washers with different flow rates.

  • 1.1 — for lower-flow machines
  • 1.25 — the all-around pick for most home pressure washers
  • 1.35 — for powerful pressure washers with high water flow

The right nozzle gives you steady flow and the thickest foam.

Changing the nozzle

Swapping a nozzle takes less than a minute.
  1. Take the Minigun off the pressure washer
  2. Unscrew the nozzle that's installed
  3. Install the diameter you need
  4. Gently tighten it with the wrench

The foam filter is the main wear part

If your foam has gotten thinner, the cause is usually inside the housing.

The foam filter traps soap residue and slowly clogs with minerals from the water. To service it, just pull it out with the special wrench, rinse it in warm water or swap in a new one. A spare filter is included.

Care after every wash

A regular rinse takes less than a minute and adds a lot of life to your foam cannon.

After the wash:

  • drain the leftover soap
  • fill the bottle with clean water
  • flush the system for 20–30 seconds
  • store the foam cannon dry
Foam Heroes Minigun is a tool that brings out the potential of any soap in the lineup. The right nozzle, a clean foam filter and regular flushing give you thick, consistent foam and keep your foam cannon working for years.
