A concentrate gets diluted with water to fit the job (and costs far less per liter), while a ready-to-use product goes straight to work. Our Dilution calculator works out the ratios for every product.

For regular washes, Citrus Buddy works well for the first stage and Acid Shock for the hand wash. In winter, for heavy dirt, we recommend switching to this pair: Foam Buddy for the first stage and Acid Citrus for the second.

Touchless wash soap takes off the bulk of the dirt, and acidic wash soap with a wash mitt or sponge removes the bonded dirt and helps prevent water spots.

If the coating was applied a while ago and its water beading has started to fade, you can apply Blaze Booster or Mad Drops after the wash

Dilution depends on what makes the foam; we list the options in the instructions. If the device connects to a pressure washer and sprays the soap with water pressure, that's a foam cannon. If the soap goes into a tank and is sprayed by air pressure, that's a foam generator. Start with the lower concentration and raise it if needed to dial it in for your conditions

You can use our Dilution calculator, or do the math yourself. Divide the total volume by the total number of parts. For example, for a 1 L (33.8 fl oz) container at a 1:10 concentration: 1000 ml (33.8 fl oz) / (1+10) ≈ 91 ml (3.1 fl oz) of product, the rest is water. It's best to dilute with warm distilled water, or at least filtered water

Yes, where the product page says so. Check the pH: for regular washing use mildly alkaline or neutral products, for heavy dirt use alkaline ones, for hand wash use acidic or neutral ones

Scent is part of the ritual: if you enjoy the process, the car stays clean more often. It doesn't get in the way of how the products work - we checked

pH tells you how acidic or alkaline a product is. Neutral products (6–8) are the usual pick for regular maintenance: they're gentler on most car surfaces. Go by what the specific product is made for and by the label instructions. Alkaline products (10+) clean harder, acidic ones (up to 3) work for keeping water spots and scale in check. We print the pH on every product except solvents, so you know what you're working with.

The soap may have been the wrong pick. pH-neutral car wash soaps suit summer and light dirt, while winter or heavy dirt calls for mildly alkaline or alkaline soaps. We recommend always washing the car in 2 stages, so a wash mitt and car wash soap take off the bonded dirt

After a touchless wash soap, bonded dirt stays on the paint. You can see it if you let the car dry or wipe it with a white towel. To remove it safely we recommend washing in 2 stages every time: first knock off the bulk of the dirt with touchless wash soap and water pressure, then use car wash soap with a wash mitt or sponge to take off the bonded dirt safely for the paint
