Contact wash

A proper contact wash follows this logic: Surface after the pre-wash → the right soap → a clean accessory → no-pressure movements → frequent rinsing → check the result → dry with a microfiber towel.

14 products

This is the step where you first touch the surface of the car. So what matters here isn't pressure or how much foam you make — it's the condition of the paint before contact, lubrication, a clean wash accessory and solid technique.

A touchless wash removes most of the road grime. The contact step handles what's left on the surface and needs controlled mechanical contact.

If the surface is already clean

Don't add mechanical contact just because your usual wash routine calls for it.
